The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit (TPPO) managed to save 2,778 people and named 1,077 suspects. The data is based on the results of the analysis and evaluation of the handling of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit TPPO and the ranks of the Regional Police for the period 5 June-10 October 2023. "The number of victims of TIP who were rescued was 2,778 people, the number of suspects in the TIP case was 1,037 people," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Tuesday, October 10. According to Ramadhan, the determination of the suspect was based on police reports as many as 861. Meanwhile, the modes carried out by hundreds of suspects were migrant workers or household assistants, crew members (ABK), commercial sex workers (PSK), and exploitation of children.

Ramadhan said that the disclosure and prosecution of the TIP were running optimally after the TIP Task Force was formed on June 5, 2023 on the orders of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. "The TIP Task Force is to take strict action and prevent criminal acts of trafficking in persons," he said.
