JAKARTA - Marking a new chapter in Leapmotor's journey in Indonesia, Leapmotor started local assembly of electric vehicles with B10 and C10 as the first two models to be assembled locally in Indonesia.

The assembly is carried out at PT National Assemblers Plant 3, Purwakarta, West Java, by adopting Leapmotor and Stellantis global manufacturing standards to ensure that every vehicle produced meets consistent quality, safety, and reliability standards.

The start of local assembly is an important step for Leapmotor in bringing electric vehicles closer to the needs of Indonesian consumers. In addition to increasing supply flexibility, the presence of local manufacturing is also part of the company's long-term strategy to support the growth of the electric vehicle market in Indonesia together with Stellantis and Indomobil.

In line with the growth in demand for electric vehicles in Indonesia, this facility is prepared to adapt to market needs while supporting the development of Leapmotor's product portfolio in the future, without sacrificing the global manufacturing quality standards that are the reference for Leapmotor and Stellantis.

Global Standard Manufacturing

The local assembly of Leapmotor is carried out at PT National Assemblers Plant 3. This is an investment of the Indomobil Group through PT National Assemblers (NA) which is designed to support the production of electric vehicles with Leapmotor and Stellantis global manufacturing standards. Standing on a land area of 158,000 square meters, this facility is equipped with modern production technology, automation systems, and quality control processes that ensure that every stage of production is carried out precisely and consistently.

In the initial stage of operation, Plant 3 has a production capacity of up to five units per hour or around 10,000 units per year. In line with the development of the electric vehicle market in Indonesia, this facility has been prepared to increase production capacity to seventeen units per hour or 34,000 units per year, including through the development of body shop and paint shop facilities. The development is expected to provide greater flexibility to support the growth of Leapmotor's product portfolio in Indonesia in the future.
