Prevent Air Pollution, Police Start Banning Residents From Burning Garbage

TANGERANG To reduce air pollution, the police together with the three pillars of Tangerang Regency forbade residents to burn garbage carelessly. Kelapa Dua Police Chief, Police Commissioner Victor Berliyantho said his party had put up banners at a number of points where the garbage was dumped so that the public would know the impact of burning garbage for human health and the environment.

"Through the banners and counseling that we have carried out, we invite the public to play an active role in maintaining air quality, one of the simple actions that can be taken, namely by not burning garbage carelessly," said Victor, Thursday, September 14.

In addition, he also said that his party coordinates with the environmental service so that waste transportation is routinely carried out.

"So that with good cooperation, we can all enjoy good and healthy air quality for future generations," he concluded.

For information, based on data from the IQAir air quality monitoring site at 11.50 WIB, the air quality index (AQI) in South Tangerang is at 134 or is categorized as unhealthy with PM2.5 air pollution and a concentration value of 49 micrograms per cubic meter.

This figure has an explanation of the level of air quality is unhealthy because it can be detrimental to humans or groups of animals that are sensitive or can cause damage to plants or aesthetic values.
