Two groups of residents were involved in a clash on Jalan Tambak, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Sunday, July 26, 2026. The clash occurred from 10.20 WIB.

As a result of the clash, traffic flow from Pramuka to Taman Proklamasi and Manggarai experienced a long traffic jam.

"This is serious, there is a mass commotion. I want to pass so I can't, I have to find another way. It's really jammed," said an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver who passed Rian.

The mass group is still camped in the area. Meanwhile, the Central Jakarta Metro Police have been deployed to the location to secure the field situation.

It is not yet known what caused the commotion between groups of people in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri said the clash occurred between two groups of residents.

"There was a clash between residents. Personnel have been in the object to secure, the current situation is conducive," he said when confirmed by VOI.

The incident is still under the handling of the Central Jakarta Metro Police. The case is still under investigation by the police to uncover the motive behind the commotion.
