Appreciation Of Kapuas Residents Hand Over 3 Assembled Firearms, Police Remind His Ownership Regulated By Law

Kapuas Police received three homemade firearms handed over by residents of Tumbang Mengkutup Village, Mentangai District, Central Kalimantan (Kalteng).

Kapuas Police Chief AKBP Kurniawan Hartono said the handover was represented by the local village head voluntarily. He also thanked the three firearms, each of which was a revolver and two long-barreled.

"I would like to thank the residents who have supported the task of the Police, in maintaining a safe and conducive security and public order situation (kamtibmas) by handing over the homemade firearms voluntarily," he said in Kapuas, Monday, June 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

He hopes that the actions taken by the residents and community leaders can be an example for other people, regarding legal awareness of handing over homemade firearms and the importance of maintaining a conducive situation in the jurisdiction of the Kapuas Police.

The public is also asked to report to the police, if they see relatives or neighbors who still have dusk, so that an examination can be carried out.

"There is a law, so if it is not handed over immediately, we will act in accordance with the applicable law. Then I also thank the residents who have given their firearms," explained Kruniawan.

With its own awareness of the importance of maintaining a safe and conducive security and social security situation as well as legal awareness about the prohibition of ownership of homemade firearms.

So the people in the local area have also assisted the police in maintaining the security and security situation in the Kapuas Police area.
