Security Guard Involved in the Theft of 1,700 MBG Containers in Banten

Ciputat Timur Police revealed a case of theft of 1,700 food trays belonging to the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in the South Tangerang City by appointing a security officer as the mastermind of the action.

Ciputat Timur Police Chief Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq said the police had arrested three suspects with initials TRS, DC, and GZ on Sunday (26/7), while another suspect with the initials H was still listed as a wanted person (DPO).

"Meanwhile, there are other suspects, namely initials H, and still have the status of the Person Search List (DPO)," he said.

According to Bambang, the disclosure of the case began with a report through the 110 service and a victim's report to SPKT on July 8, 2026.

The police then conducted an investigation based on CCTV footage and the testimony of a number of witnesses.

The results of the investigation revealed that TRS, who worked as a security officer in the SPPG kitchen, was suspected of playing a role as the initiator and controller of the theft.

Meanwhile, the suspects DC and GZ are suspected of playing a role in committing theft and enjoying the proceeds from the sale of stolen goods.

Police said the stolen goods were sold for personal gain and some of the evidence had been secured as part of the investigation.

As a result of the theft, the SPPG kitchen lost 1,700 stainless steel food trays, two gas stoves, one generator unit, CCTV devices, and a number of other inventory items.

The suspects were charged with Article 477 paragraph (1) letters e and g of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of nine years in prison.
