BMKG Weather Forecast 29 July: List of Potential Rain and Strong Wind Regions

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminds the public to be aware of the potential for rain and strong winds that are still likely to occur in a number of regions in Indonesia, even though most areas have entered the dry season.

Based on the BMKG weather forecast for today, Wednesday, July 29, moderate to heavy rain is still potentially raining in several areas, including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Bengkulu.

The next regions are West Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Central Papua, Papua Mountains, and Papua.

The weather conditions have the potential to have an impact such as puddles, local flooding, and disruption of community activities in areas that are hit by rain.

However, BMKG stated that there were no areas that were included in the "alert" category with the potential for heavy to very heavy rain, nor the "caution" category for the potential for very heavy to extreme rain during this period.

In addition to rain, BMKG also reminded of the potential for strong winds in a number of areas that could affect community activities, especially in open areas, coastal areas, and waters.

The areas that are potentially experiencing strong winds include Banten, West Java, West Kalimantan, Maluku, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi.

The public in the affected areas is urged to continue to pay attention to the latest weather information from BMKG and increase vigilance against the potential for trees to fall, high waves, and travel disruptions due to bad weather.
