Survey: Majority of US Citizens Have Negative Perception of Netanyahu

JAKARTA - The majority of Americans have a negative view of Israeli regime leader Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a survey conducted by YouGov and Economist.

Dilansir ANTARA dari Sputnik, Rabu, 29 Juli,menurutsurvei yang berlangsung pada 25-27 Juli tersebut, sebanyak 54 persen dari 1.559 responden AS memiliki pandangan negatif terhadap Netanyahu, dengan hanya 23 persen responden di antaranya yang masih menilai Netanyahu secara positif.

The survey also found that 47 percent of US respondents believe Netanyahu is guilty of war crimes in the Gaza Strip and that his actions have damaged US-Israeli relations.

Then, 49 percent of respondents agreed that the US government should detain Netanyahu, if he set foot in US territory, based on a detention order issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Meanwhile, only 27 percent rejected the move.

Previously, in November 2024, the ICC issued a detention order for Netanyahu and former senior defense official of the Zionist regime, Yoav Gallant, on charges of war crimes in the Gaza Strip.

However, US President Donald Trump refused to arrest Netanyahu if he visited the US.
