Health Office Says 8 Regencies In Central Papua Are Attacked By Campak-Rubela, 34 People Are Still Being Treated

PAPUA - A total of 34 people in Central Papua Province are currently being treated due tolies and rubela. "As many as 34 people who were treated for wavy and rubela came from Nabire Regency with 18 people, Puncak Jaya and Paniai with seven people each, Puncak and Intan Jaya Regency with five people each," said Acting Head of the Central Papua Health Service dr. Silvanus Sumule in Papua, Antara, Friday, March 31. A total of 34 people were also treated at home. With this number, there were eight new cases, namely in Nabire Regency five cases and three cases in Dogiai. "There are four people who died and 632 people have been declared cured," said Sumule. He admitted that the fires and rubela cases attacked eight districts in the provinces of Central Papua. Eight areas of Central Papua Province include Nabire, Mimika, Puncak Jaya, Puncak, Paniai, Dogiai, Deiyai and Intan Jaya Regencies. To suppress the spread ofcampus and rubela cases, the Central Papua Health Office will try to vaccinate rubelacampur, targeting babies aged 9 to 59 months. It was recorded that 88,383 people were targeted for Measles vaccination.

"Health workers will be deployed as much as possible to vaccinate the babies so that they will have the durability ofcarp and rubela," said Sumule.
