Asked To Involve Regional Heads To Support Drafting Of The Jakarta Specialty Bill, Deputy Governor Of DKI: We'll Give It A Chance

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria responded to the request of the head of the buffer zone to be involved in the preparation of the academic text of the Jakarta Specialty Bill.

In this case, the Mayor of Bogor Bima Arya admitted that he hoped to be included in the discussion of regulations that were made in conjunction with the relocation of the capital city to the archipelago, East Kalimantan.

Responding to the request, Riza opened the opportunity for the DKI Provincial Government to invite the heads of buffer regions in Jabodetabek in the preparation of the academic manuscript.

"Later we will give it a chance. We will also involve coordinating with relevant ministries including spatial planning, other ministries, including buffer zones," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, April 11.

Riza admitted that initially, the DKI Provincial Government had a target of drafting the Jakarta Specificity Bill until the end of March.

Then, because it has not been completed, the DKI Provincial Government has asked the Ministry of Home Affairs to allow the target for the preparation of the regulation to replace the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Law to be completed by May. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also set a deadline for April.

"Indeed, this discussion was originally in March, then we were given the opportunity until May by the Ministry of Home Affairs, our proposal. Finally, the Ministry of Home Affairs asked if it could be completed in April," said Riza.

Therefore, in the remaining time allowed, the DKI Provincial Government will involve buffer zones. "We will try in the remaining time this month, we will finish and listen, accommodate all element of society inclding the bufer zones. We will wait for the input," he continued.

Moreover, continued Riza, Jakarta cannot be an independent province. Given that the government's policies, such as flood management and transportation systems, are also related to buffer zones.
