JAKARTA - Preparation for the 2025 National Press Day (HPN) which will be held in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, is declared 100 percent complete. The head of the Central HPN Committee, Raja Pane, confirmed this readiness after coordinating intensively with the Chairman of the South Kalimantan PWI, Zaenal Helmie, Thursday, December 26.

"Our communication this morning agreed on a number of important points, including technical coordination to ensure the event runs smoothly," said Raja Pane in a written statement received in Jakarta, Thursday, December 26.

To strengthen the identity of the host, the 2025 HPN logo uses a typical icon of South Kalimantan, namely Bekantan. The theme that was carried was 'Pers Guards Food Security as Pillars of National Independence'. This logo and theme have been agreed upon by the central and local committee as a form of strengthening local values as well as national relevance.

The committee ensures that accommodation for participants from all over Indonesia is available. Several hotels prepared include the Galaxy Hotel, Aria Barito Hotel, Pyramid Hotel, Rattan Inn, GSign Hotel, and Swiss-Belhotel. The Galaxy Hotel will also be the main locations for media seminars and conventions.

Each province gets a three-room share for five participants, consisting of the Chairperson of the Provincial PWI, Chairman of IKWI, Secretary, Chairman of the Honorary Council, and Chairman of Siwo. In addition, the committee provided one operational car for each provincial delegation.

"All participants will be placed with the best facilities, including the provision of uniforms. We ask each province to immediately hand over the size of the clothes to facilitate technical preparation," Helmie explained.

The committee is also communicating with the central government. Raja Pane hopes that the tradition of the President of the Republic of Indonesia's presence at the HPN event can continue. President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the peak of the celebration which will take place on February 7, 2025.

"With all these careful preparations, we are optimistic that the 2025 HPN will be a big success and have a positive impact, both for South Kalimantan as the host and the national press world," concluded Raja Pane.

HPN 2025 is expected to be an important momentum for press personnel to strengthen their contribution to food security and national independence.
