KUPANG - Alor Police in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) deployed 126 personnel to secure the demonstration of several students who are members of the Cipayung group on Monday, April 11.

He conveyed this when answering questions about the demonstrations of the Nusantara Student Executive Board (BEM) which he feared would occur in all regions in NTT.
Rishian said that there were around 50 students who took part in the demonstration which was carried out in the district and so far it was safe and conducive.
The former Head of the North Central Timor (TTU) Police added that until the afternoon of Monday 11 April, there had only been reports that only students in Alor had held demonstrations. Meanwhile, in other areas, such as in Kupang City, there were no demonstrations.
Krisna also appealed to several students in Alor who demonstrated to do so peacefully so as not to cause unwanted things.
Krisna also said that the expression of opinions in public has been regulated in Law Number 9 of 1998, so it is hoped that the activities of expressing opinions in public (demonstrations) are in line with what is mandated by the law.
"One of them is not anarchist so it does not cause conflict", said the spokesman for the NTT Police.
