Here's How To Register For Booster Vaccinations Starting Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The third or booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination will begin on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. The booster vaccination is prioritized for the elderly and vulnerable or immunocompromised groups.

The current requirements for booster vaccination are the elderly and vulnerable groups who have received the full dose of vaccine (first and second) within the previous six months,

If they meet the requirements, the public can register for a booster vaccination on the PeduliLindung website or application. Through this platform, they can get tickets and vaccination schedules at the appointed time.

The trick is to first open the PeduliLindungi application and log in with the registered account. Next, click the "Profile" menu and select "Vaccination Status and COVID-19 Test Results".

Furthermore, the status and schedule of booster vaccinations will appear in each account. Then, to check vaccine tickets, go to the "Vaccine History and Tickets" menu.

Head of the Communication and Public Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Widyawati said, there is another way if the priority group has not yet received a ticket and vaccination schedule when checking on the PeduliLindungi application.

"You can come directly to the nearest health facility or vaccination site by bringing your ID card and proof of vaccination doses 1 and 2", said Widyawati in her statement, Tuesday, January 11.

Widyawati reminded the public not to use other people's NIK (ID Card) and cellphone numbers when registering for booster vaccinations to avoid administrative problems in the future.

As is known, the booster vaccination which will be carried out tomorrow is free of charge. This vaccination will be carried out at government-owned health care facilities such as public health center (Puskesmas), government hospitals, and regional government hospitals.
