PONTIANAK - The Pontianak City Police, West Kalimantan is still investigating the discovery of a human skeleton on Jalan Anggrek, Siantan Hulu Village, North Pontianak District.
"This human skeleton was found by a resident while hunting for a squirrel," said member of the Pontianak Police Inafis Team, Bripka Agung in Pontianak, Antara, Tuesday, December 14.
He explained that from the results of the preliminary examination at the TKP (the crime scene) it was strongly suspected that the victim was Amin, a resident of Siantan, North Pontianak District, who allegedly committed suicide.
"This is reinforced by the findings of the victim's belongings, in the form of wallets and cellphones around the crime scene and on the bones a rope hanger was found on a tree suspected of being a means for the victim to commit suicide," he said.
He added that the remains of the skeleton were suspected to be male, which was confirmed by the identification of the victim's identity card (KTP).
"From our TKP results in the field, we found the victim's clothes, a cell phone, and a wallet containing the victim's ID card," he said.

According to him, from the results of the crime scene, his party temporarily concluded that the victim died of suicide, which was reinforced by the finding of a rope that was still tied and hanging from a branch above the discovery of the bones.
"From the results of the interim examination, the human skeleton has been in the location for about a month," he said.
On that occasion, he added that his party took the human skeleton to the hospital for an investigation and contacted the family for the burial process.
