Tourism Office Guarantees Hotels In Mataram NTB Can Accommodate 25,000 Guests At The World Superbike Event

NTB - The Mataram City Tourism Office, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) said the availability of a hotel for guests and spectators of the World Superbike (WSBK) can accommodate around 25,000 people. With this number, there are no residents' houses that will be used as lodging.

Head of the Mataram City Tourism Office, H Nizar Denny Cahyadi, said the number of hotel rooms in Mataram is currently available at 4,077 rooms.

"However, around 2,777 rooms can be used because 1,300 rooms are used by Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) for employee quarantine", he said in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, November 11.

The 2,777 rooms include three hotels that previously became COVID-19 emergency hospitals, namely Hotel Nutana, Fizz, and Grand Inn. "However, this does not include the Prime Prak Hotel on Udayana Street. The information is that they will open five floors", he said.

Meanwhile, the number of viewers targeted at 25,000 is divided into 15,000 local viewers and the rest from outside, both domestic and abroad.

Thus, continued Denny, so far there is no activity to prepare residents' houses as lodging for WSBK guests and spectators in Mataram.

However, he continued, the construction or renovation of residents' houses as lodgings had been carried out in the WSBK implementing district, namely Central Lombok Regency, because it was closer to access to the circuit.

"For WSBK audience lodging, so far we are still relying on hotels, both star and jasmine hotels", he said.
