Nuno Bettencourt To Eric Martin, Ahmad Dhani Announces Dewa 19 Collaboration With World Top Rockers

JAKARTA - Ahmad Dhani and Dewa 19 did not seem to want to stop with the Dewa 19 All Star' music project which started last year.

After collaborating with many world rock musicians through last year's recordings and performances, Dhani through her Instagram account informed that Dewa 19 will return to collaborate with world rockers.

"Bakal is the first ASIA band to collaborate with American rock musicians," Ahmad Dhani wrote in a description of the upload, Wednesday, September 4.

The Dewa 19 frontman also displayed a list of musicians who would be invited to collaborate.

Some of the names that caught the eye were Nuno Bettencourt (guitar) and Gary Cherone (vocals) from Extreme, as well as Eric Martin (vocals) from Mr. Big and John Waite (vocals) from Bad English.

Meanwhile, another name has collaborated with Dewa 19 years ago, namely Billy Sheehan (bass) from Mr. Big, Ron Bumblefootthal, Derek Sherinian, and Dino Jelusick.

So far, there has been no further information regarding the music project revealed by Dhani. He did not explain whether this collaboration was in the form of recordings or performances.

Detailed information will be further notified through a press conference held on Tuesday, September 10 next week.
