Alim Sudio Gives Material To Stabilize Film Assessment By The 2024 FFWI Jury

JAKARTA - The 2024 Indonesian Journalist Film Festival Committee (FFWI) invited screenwriter Alim Sudio as a speaker in a discussion on the establishment of the jury at the Senayan Arthotel hotel, Thursday, September 12.

This discussion was held to provide information on film assessments by the increasingly intense 2024 FFWI jury. The President of FFWI 2024, Wina Armada Sukardi, said this determination was given as a judging booster.

"We already have standard and assessment guidelines for the jury. Alim Sudio was presented to provide a new trial so that the jury's insights will be wider," he said.

"We continue to encourage film festivals in Indonesia to enrich the national film ecosystem. FFWI is one of the festivals that continues to grow from year to year," said M. Bochari, Pamong Budaya Expert Culture, PMM Directorate of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Alim Sudio who won FFWI 2021 as the Best Screenwriter admitted that he was enthusiastic about being a speaker. "I think film writers and journalists have the same capital to understand films. That good films can bring the emotions of the audience. From the first draft, this emotion is what I think is important to exist so that it can be continued to be made scenarios," he explained.

Alim gave some points that had to be to make a good film. "Good script is the Spur of the trip. What's the story, of course, aruus and the journey that must be maintained is followed. There is also a room prepared by the author for creativity instead of being visual," he added.
