Sarwendah Never Attends Trial, Divorce Process With Ruben Onsu Can Be Finished Faster

JAKARTA - Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah's divorce trial was held again at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, August 13.

Unfortunately, both Ruben and Sarwendah were absent from the trial. Although Ruben is still represented by the attorney, Sarwendah is not present at all.

Seeing this, Public Relations of the South Jakarta District Court, Tumpanuli Marbun said that Sarwendah was accelerating the divorce process with Ruben.

"Yes, definitely (accelerating), there is no more answer, no more tanking, or no longer duplica. And the evidence is only one-sided from the plaintiff's side. Meanwhile, the defendant is no longer there to defend interests," explained Tumpanuli Marbun at his office, Tuesday, August 13.

Tumpanuli explained that previously the court had given Sarwendah the opportunity for mediation but he chose not to attend.

So that the court considers that the mediation between Ruben and Sarwendah was declared not to have been carried out.

"So if within normal times, if the defendant is present, it must go through a mediation process. If the mediation fails, then there will be answers there, Replic, duplicate answers, then proof, conclusions, decisions," said Tumpanuli Marbun.

"The defendant was not present, there was no mediation, there was no duplicate. Finally, directly on the proof of the plaintiff's letter or witness evidence. After that, it was just a conclusion, a decision," he continued.

Therefore, for the next trial, Sarwendah and Ruben will immediately enter the conclusion stage and then the verdict.

"This means that next week the plaintiff will immediately submit proof of the letter, witnesses, maybe the following week it can be in the conclusion stage. A week later it can be in the decision stage," he said.
