Besides Anggun C. Sasmi, Film Para Perasuk Presents Maudy Ayunda To Bryan Domani

JAKARTA - Wregas Bhanuteja together with Rekata Studio announced their latest film player, Para Perasuk. Previously, Anggun C. Sasmi marked his acting debut through this film as announced by Wregas.

Monday, August 5, Rekata Studio revealed the actors in the Para Perasuk film besides Anggun C. Sasmi. They are Maudy Ayunda, Angga Yunanda, Bryan Domani, Chicco Kurniawan, Indra Birowo, and Ganindra Bimo.

Produced by Siera Tamihardja, Iman Usman, and Amalia Fitriani Rusdi, "The Perasuk" will be Wregas' latest offering with challenging genres, supernatural dramas.

This film is set in a village where people consider being possessed by spirits to be a form of satisfaction and mutual pleasure, Bayu aspires to become a visitor in a mass possessed party ceremony. At the same time, he grew up to be a central figure in overcoming a crisis that threatens the integrity of residents in his village.

"In the third film, I want to, tell stories about phenomena in some groups in society, who choose to make things supernatural (like possessed parties), as a means of recreation, to briefly run away from reality and find happiness," said Wregas Bhanuteja.

"For them, happiness is not only found from physical objects, but happiness can be found from invisible things that are considered to coexist with these people," he said.

This project was well received by its players, one of which was Maudy Ayunda who was enthusiastic about their collaboration.

"I am happy to accept the offer of the film project 'The Perasuk' and are currently in the process of going to filming. We have all done the reading and training process. It is very fun because I think the approach to this film from the start is quite different. I was given exploration space to provide the possibility of ideas or touch from myself in acting or bringing characters to this film, "said Maudy Ayunda.

This film also marks Wregas and Angga Yunanda's latest collaboration after Budi Pekerti in 2023. Apart from the cast list, they have not revealed the characters played by these actors and actresses.

"I've always liked the new challenges given by Wregas, with his extraordinary imagination. Making the character I play is very memorable for me because of its extraordinary complexity," said Angga Yunanda.

Production of the Para Perasuk film will begin soon this year and hit theaters.
