Sherina 2's Adventure Film Wins Highest First Day Spectator Rate In 2023

JAKARTA - Sherina 2's Adventure Film shows a big audience interest in theaters. This film officially became an Indonesian film with the highest number of viewers on the first day of 2023.

Miles Films announced that Sherina 2's adventure had been watched by 256,286 viewers in theaters on the first day of screening on Thursday, September 28.

If the audience's gains consistently increase, then it is certain that Sherina 2's adventure will reach the box office title in a short time.

Sherina 2's Adventure film has become one of the most anticipated titles by the public since it was announced in 2020. Directed by Riri Riza, this film brings together Sherina Munaf and Derby Romero again under producer Mira Lesmana, Shanty Harmayn, and 110 Marahimin.

The journey to production is not completely smooth, because the pandemic hit in the first half of 2020. Production is only starting in 2022 and can be broadcast theatrically this year.

"From the finish of production, I can't wait to go live quickly," Derby Romero said when speaking with VOI some time ago.

"What is certain is that I'm still very happy is that I still feel surprised but more like wow, people like that are waiting," added Sherina Munaf.

The film Adventure Sherina 2 tells the story of Sherina (Sherina Munaf) who is an adult and works as a journalist. Sherina is projected to cover in Davos, Switzerland for an international economic forum. However, Sherina had to stop it because suddenly she was assigned to cover in the forest of Kalimantan.

Sherina was surprised after meeting Sadam (Derby Romero) who now works as an NGO program manager for orangutan conservation. Sherina and Sadam are working professional while they are also starting to share their lives.

Apart from Sherina and Derby, this film also stars Ardit Erwandha, Isyana Sarasvati, Chandra Satria, Kelly Tandiono, Randy Danistha, and introduces Quinn Salman.

Sherina 2's Adventure Film opens in Indonesian cinemas.
