JAKARTA - Netflix has confirmed that property and gems were stolen from the set of the fifth and sixth seasons of The Crown series. Citing Digital Spy, the theft was carried out using three vehicles in Yorkshire where the area is close to the shooting location. There were 350 antiques stolen and the total amounted to £150 thousand pounds, or IDR 2.92 billion.

"We can confirm that the antiques have been stolen and we hope they can be returned safely," Netflix said on Friday, February 25.

Some of the missing items included a replica of a Fabergé egg, a William VI grandfather clock, a dressing table, a crystal glass, and a gold candle holder.

Currently, the production team is replacing lost antiques. They also ensured that the filming process was not delayed.

"Police called at 4.30 p.m., Wednesday, February 16 following reports of a burglar driving a vehicle on Pastures Road, Doncaster," Yorkshire Police said in a statement.

Some of the items belonged to the Antiques Trade Gazette so Netflix asked potential buyers to see the stolen items and help them. The reason is, these items belong to the British film industry.

The Crown is a series that tells the story of the British empire starting with Queen Elizabeth II, played by Olivia Colman.

Filming for the fifth season is in progress for several months and will focus on the relationship between Prince Charles and Princess Diana. The Crown 5 will be released in November.
