West Java Exports Jengkol To Dubai

BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) exports 50 kg of jengkol produced by Islamic boarding schools to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

"With the spirit of uplifting the public and marketing jengkol throughout the world. Today we are exporting jengkol to Dubai," said West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil after the First Export Release of One Islamic Boarding School One Product (OPOP) program in the Sate Bandung building yard, Monday, December 13.

In addition to jengkol, the first export of the OPOP Islamic Boarding School also includes fruits such as 600 kg of mangosteen, 300 kg of rambutan, and 200 kg of salak, which are fulfilled by the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School Ciwidey Cooperative, Bandung Regency.

"So today's exports are the result of lobbies from our visit to Dubai yesterday. And all exported products are OPOP products," said Ridwan Kamil, quoted by Antara.

Ridwan Kamil hopes that other Islamic Boarding Schools (pesantren) that are members of the OPOP Program can follow the example of the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School and the Daarut Tauhid Islamic Boarding School which have succeeded in building self-reliance by exporting goods produced or produced.

"I entrust it to Pak Tutus (the nickname for the Head of Cooperatives and Small Business of West Java Province), this export release is the first step, and there are a hundred more steps related to the development of OPOP Islamic boarding schools," said Ridwan Kamil.

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Province Cooperatives and Small Business Office, Kusmana Hartadji, added that after the Dubai Expo, the Nusantara Santri Innovation, which then became a liaison with the buyer, namely the Epicstar Group.

"So Epicstar Group submitted a number of requests or purchase orders such as fruits such as mangosteen, rambutan, salak, and jengkol," said Kusmana.

In addition, he continued, Epicstar Group also submitted other requests, namely fashion products in the form of mukena sarongs, ketu caps, black skullcaps, children's clothes which were fulfilled by the Daarut Tauhid Islamic Boarding School Cooperative.
