JAKARTA - SiCepat officially expanded its business into the business-to-business (B2B) logistics segment through the launch of SiCepat Logistics. This step is an effort by the company to tap into the inter-business distribution market by offering integrated logistics services from upstream to downstream in one system.

The launch of SiCepat Logistics was announced at a press conference held at Puninar. On this occasion, the company also displayed one of the SiCepat Logistics fleet as part of the service which is now being prepared to serve the distribution needs of business actors.

Through this new service, SiCepat targets the needs of manufacturing companies, brand owners, distributors, retailers, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who have been facing challenges in managing goods distribution. Questions such as the use of many logistics vendors, the lack of visibility of shipments, and the limitations of distribution reach are the target of the service.

SiCepat Express CEO Barry Lim said SiCepat Logistics not only offers various types of logistics services, but also integrates all processes into one system so that customers no longer need to manage many logistics partners.

"What distinguishes SiCepat Logistics is not just the variety of services we offer, but how all the services run in the same system. Our customers no longer need to manage many vendors with different standards and visibility. Just one partner, one system, one accountability, from the warehouse to the hands of the end customer," said Barry Lim in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 28.

SiCepat Logistik provides various services, ranging from Full Truckload (FTL), Less Than Truckload (LTL), warehousing, heavy cargo, custom logistics, freight forwarding through air and sea routes, export-import and customs clearance, to various other supporting services.

In the SiCepat Group ecosystem, SiCepat Logistics handles distribution at the first mile to middle mile stages, ranging from manufacturers, principals or brands, distributors, retailers, to warehousing. Furthermore, the distribution process to the end consumer is continued by SiCepat Express through the last mile service.

The model allows the entire distribution chain to be in one ecosystem, from the movement of raw materials to products arriving at online and offline sales channels.

As part of strengthening inter-island services, SiCepat also introduced SiCepat Fast Lane, a maritime distribution service that is claimed to offer faster travel time compared to conventional maritime services, at a lower cost than air freight and with more regular departure schedules.

Commercial & External Affairs Director of SiCepat, Imam Sedayu, said that network integration was the company's main advantage in maintaining the distribution process running without complicated handling transfers.

"Integration with the SiCepat network that has reached all regions of Indonesia is our main strength. The processes we handle at the first mile and middle mile can be directly connected to the last mile without complicated hand-offs. That is the power of integration that makes our SLA scalable, accountable, and reliable at the same time," said Imam Sedayu.

The launch of SiCepat Logistics marks the development of the company's business which was established in 2014. After being known through express delivery services, SiCepat is now strengthening its position in the B2B logistics sector by integrating distribution services from the beginning of the supply chain to the end customer's product.
