Kendari Ministry Of Religion: Preparation Of Prospective Hajj Pilgrims Reaches 70 Percent

KENDARI - The Office of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi conveyed that the preparation of hundreds of prospective pilgrims in the area has now reached 70 percent.

The Head of the Hajj and Umrah Organizing Section of the Ministry of Religion Kendari Sunardin said that based on the results of the verification and filing, the number of prospective pilgrims who will go to the Holy Land in 2022 is 298 people.

"There are 298 prospective pilgrims for the 2022 hajj. So far, 70 percent of the preparations for Hajj in the region have reached 70 percent," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 17.

Meanwhile, he continued, the payment of hajj costs for prospective pilgrims in Kendari City has reached 97 percent and there are still around five to six people who have not confirmed the payment.

"Until today, the payment starting from May 9, 2022, until today has reached 97 percent, there are still five and six people who have not confirmed to the bank," he said.

He said that currently his party is checking the completeness of the main documents, and passports of prospective pilgrims, including health checks and giving meningitis vaccines.

As for the Hajj ritual stage, the Ministry of Religion of Kendari City is planning to carry out next week for six days, consisting of four days at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of each sub-district and two days at the local Ministry of Religion Office.

"Regarding the filing, the passport has been completed, now there are only two stages that we will complete, the first is the ritual stage and the second is the preparation of the manifest," he said.
