Ministry Of Health: Beware Of Surel Phishing In The Name Of ONE HEALTH

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health reminds all parties to be aware of various cybercrime practices that can interfere with the use of health digital transformation programs such as phishing emails on behalf of ONE HEALTH. "I appeal to health facilities and the public in general not to access links that are considered suspicious, including providing personal information via email or other communication channels," said Expert Staff for Health Technology and Chief of Digital Transformation Office (DTO) of the Ministry of Health Setiaji as reported by Antara, Thursday, May 2. His party received reports of attempted fraud (phishing) by email or e-mail by irresponsible persons by using the name ONESEHAT of the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Phishing is a fraud or fraud technique that is often carried out online by irresponsible persons with the aim of obtaining sensitive information including personal data such as name, age, address, or username and account password, as well as financial data such as credit card and account information. Phishing perpetrators commit fraud or fraud by posing as trusted entities, such as the government, public services, banks, and so on with the aim of attracting individual attention in order to provide personal information without them knowing it. He explained, from the reports received, the port link was sent via email that did not use the kemkes.go.id domain to a number of health service facilities. The link, he said, contained a request for verification of health data at ONESEHAT. "It is possible that similar phishing links are also sent to the public by utilizing the same or different communication channels, such as WhatsApp or other short message applications," he said. Setiaji explained, every website or email that is officially affiliated with the Indonesian Ministry of Health only uses the Ministry of Health.go.id domain. Meanwhile, official social media accounts, both WhatsApp, Instagram, and X, have verification signs with check marks on each profile. He reminded the public to always be careful and pay attention to the origin of the message sender account. Meanwhile, official information related to ONE SEHAT can be accessed through the one-health channel.kemkes.go.id.
