West Java Chamber of Commerce Trial, Witness Reveals Alleged Muprov Bogor Defects

Two witnesses in the lawsuit for the management of the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) revealed alleged violations in the Provincial Consultative Meeting in Bogor. The issues highlighted include the conditions for the nomination of the chairman, the stages of the consultation, to the validity of the participants who have the right to vote.

The information was conveyed at a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (28/7). The lawsuit was filed by the Chairman of the Kadin Indramayu Mulyadi and the Chairman of the Garut Regency Kadin Rajab Riyadi against the Indonesian Kadin and a number of its managers.

Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce, Nizar Sungkar, was present as a witness. He stated that the nomination of Almer Faiq Rusydi in the Bogor Muprov was suspected of not meeting the organization's regulations and the basic budget and household budget of the Chamber of Commerce.

According to Nizar, Almer has not served one term or five years as the Chairman of the Bogor Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, he considers that Almer should not be able to run as the candidate for the Chairman of the West Java Chamber of Commerce.

Nizar also said that the status of Almer's management had been frozen during the nomination process. The freeze, according to him, was related to Almer's attitude of not recognizing Anindya Bakrie's leadership as the General Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce as a result of an extraordinary national deliberation.

The defendant's lawyer protested Nizar's presence as a witness. The panel of judges then stated that only information related to the main issue would be considered.

The second witness, Deni Irawan, provided information regarding the implementation of the Bogor Muprov on September 24, 2025. He assessed that the deliberation was legally flawed because a number of stages were not carried out and some of the participants present were not managers with voting rights.

The plaintiff's lawyer, Roy Sianipar, stated that the testimony of the two witnesses strengthened the material of the lawsuit which questioned the legality of Muprov Bogor.

At the beginning of the trial, Roy also handed over a copy of the invitation from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry containing an invitation to make peace to the plaintiffs. The Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Eman Sulaeman, welcomed the possibility of a settlement.

"If there is an effort towards peace, it is better," said Eman.

This matter started from two Muprov Kadin West Java which were held on the same day, September 24, 2025, in Bandung and Bogor. The Bandung Muprov chose Nizar Sungkar, while the Bogor Muprov appointed Almer Faiq Rusydi as chairman.

The lawsuit is recorded with case number 1356/Pdt.G/2025/PN JKT.SEL. The parties sued include the General Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Anindya Bakrie as well as a number of central managers. The next hearing is scheduled to present expert witnesses from the plaintiffs.
