Deputy Mayor Of Medan Aulia Rachman Warns Education Office To Eliminate Retribution In Schools
MEDAN - The Medan City Government has warned the Education Office to eliminate the system of retributions in schools.
"There should be no more retribution system in the world of education," said Deputy Mayor of Medan Aulia Rachman during a friendly meeting with principals of Elementary Schools and Junior-High Schools in Medan, as quoted by Antara, Monday, March 22.
Medan City Government, he continued, asked the principal to pay attention to teaching staff and follow regulations, one of which is the Technical Guidelines (Juknis) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud).

Deputy Mayor of Medan, Aulia Rachman did not want the teaching staff, especially honorary teachers, to have difficulties in their lives. According to him, this could disrupt work education personnel.
Aulia Rachman reminded that there should be no more deductions in teachers' income, especially honorariums, because they have the responsibility to educate the nation's next generation of children.
"How can teachers teach well, if we play with their income. In the future I don't want this to happen again," said Aulia Rachman.
