Banjarmasin Regional Head Election, Constitutional Court Decides To Re-vote In 3 Districts
BANJARMASIN - The Constitutional Court (MK) decided to re-vote (PSU) in the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) of Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan. The Constitutional Court ordered three urban villages, namely, Mantuil, Murung Raya and South Basirih Villages.
The Constitutional Court Judge granted part of the lawsuit of candidate pair number 4, Hj. Ananda and H. Mushaffa Zakir over the determination of the victory of candidate pair number 2, H. Ibnu Sina and H. Arifin Noor. regarding the determination of the recapitulation of the voting results for the 2020 mayor and deputy local mayor election on 15 December 2020. Constitutional Court canceled the votes obtained in all polling stations (TPS) located in three sub-districts in South Banjarmasin, namely, Mantuil, Murung Raya, and Basirih Selatan. Constitutional Court (MK) ordered the Banjarmasin General Election Commission (KPU) to carry out re-voting (PSU) in the three districts, as well as appointed new chairmen and members, both the Voting Organizing Group (KPPS) and the District Election Committee (PPK). Constitutional Court also ordered the General Election Commission and the provincial Election Commission to conduct supervision and coordination to the General Election Commission of Banjarmasin City, as well as for Election Supervision Agency (Bawaslu), and Bawaslu did the same to the Banjarmasin City Bawaslu. Constitutional Court also ordered the Indonesian Police to secure the implementation of the Banjarmasin Regional Head Election Re-voting in the three districts. Constitutional Court argues that the time required for the implementation of the re-vote is no longer than 30 working days starting from the time this decision was enacted. The results of this vote will be combined with the results of votes that are not canceled. As recapitulation of the results of the vote count previously determined by the Banjarmasin General Election Commission, the pair number 2, H. Ibnu Sina and H. Arifin Noor won the most votes, namely, 90,980 votes.

Meanwhile, the second-highest number was won by pair number 4, namely, Hj. Ananda and H. Mushaffa Zakir won 74,154 votes, the third most was pair number 1, H. Haris Makkie and Ilham Noor won 36,238 votes, and the fourth most was pair number 3, H. Khairul Saleh and Habib Muhammad Ali Alhabsy won 31,334 votes.
From the previous data, for the three districts ordered to re-vote, namely, Mantuil Village with 29 polling stations and 10,501 voters, Murung Raya with 23 polling stations and 9,778 voters, and South Basirih with 28 polling stations and 11,207 voters.
