1,231 Joint Personnel Secure Demonstration At Monas Horse Statue

Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed 1,231 joint personnel to secure a demonstration by a number of community elements in the Horse Statue area, Monas, Central Jakarta.

"To secure the action of elements of society at the Monas Horse Statue roundabout and its surroundings, we involved a total of 1,231 joint personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro when confirmed, Monday, July 22.

The joint personnel are from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, Pemda DKI and other relevant agencies.

Later the personnel will be placed at a number of points around the Monas Horse Statue Roundabout to the front of the State Palace.

In addition, security is also carried out to anticipate by preparing a number of personnel to prevent mass action from entering the State Palace.

Meanwhile, the diversion of traffic flow around the Monas Horse Statue roundabout and several other locations is situational. Kombes Susatyo said traffic flow engineering would be implemented to see the dynamics of the situation on the ground.

Kombes Susatyo also reminded all personnel involved in security to always act persuasively, not provoking and being provoked, prioritizing negotiations, humane services and maintaining security and safety.

The police chief appealed to field coordinators (korlap) and orators to conduct speeches in a polite manner and not to provoke the masses.
