JAKARTA - A 3-story shophouse on Jalan Prize 1 RT 11/03, Jelambar Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta, was burned down on Tuesday, January 30. The fire only flared on the 3rd floor of the shophouse building.

"The fire is thought to have been caused by an electrical short in the third-floor ceiling. The burned area is about 100 square meters," said Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin when confirmed.

The fire was extinguished by 10 fire engines with the deployment of 50 personnel at around 17.00 WIB.

"There were no injuries from the fire. One resident and an employee were rescued. The estimated loss due to the fire is estimated at Rp. 300 million," he said.

"The part caught fire only on the third floor of the building. The building belongs to Mr. Tombstone (40)," he added.
