JAKARTA - Google has released the first beta for the Android 14 mobile operating system, and the update will now roll out first to all supported Pixel devices.

Through uploading the Android developer blog, quoted Thursday, April 13, Google revealed several new capabilities in Android 14 First Beta, including the Smarter System UI.

This update will feature a more prominent back arrow when interacting with the app, wrapped in a dynamic color background.

Google states, these arrows serve to help users understand gestures better. Android 14 First Beta also brings capabilities where app developers can add custom actions to the system share sheet.

Developers can also take advantage of some of the new graphics features in Android 14 First Beta that the company says will make their apps stand out even more.

As mentioned in the rumors, the latest version of Android will also bring per-app language preferences, where users can change the language within the app instead of across the device system.

Regarding privacy, Google will also implement parameters that will protect sensitive user information, such as passwords and prevent the execution of sensitive information.

The Pixel phones that have support for Android 14 First Beta include the Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, and Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.
