JAKARTA - Netflix's newest series, Doona! It's being hotly discussed by the public. The series, which is adapted from a webtoon of the same name, brings together Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong in the direction of director Lee Jung Hyo who was successful with Crash Landing on You.

Doona! tells the story of Lee Won Jung (Yang Se Jong) who has just moved to a dormitory and finds out that this dormitory is also inhabited by a former K-pop idol, Doona (Suzy). Initially, Lee Won Jung refused to get close to Doona, but slowly but surely, they started to get close and fall in love.

The premise sounds simple but the romance genre is like Doona! It has a fan mass. Evidently, a few days after its release, the series continues to occupy trending topics on social media.

The two main characters, Doona and Won-jun, have different character and purpose in life, but that makes their romance even more colorful.

Suzy, who received an award for her acting this year, is certainly eagerly awaited by fans. Her acting was also praised by director Lee Jung Hyo who said, " Suzy's acting performance as it is is is extraordinary. Her depiction of Doona having various layers, plain but harboring wounds from the past, should be praised."

"Obviously, he is used to being honest, but there is a side of him who is injured, and this makes him waver in expressing his feelings. Even though he was initially wary of past experiences, slowly he opened himself up to Won-jun as they got closer," said Bae Suzy.

"Working with him is really an experience that opens my eyes. He is so wise and skilled, so acting with him is very fun," added Yang Se Jong, who likes acting with Suzy.

One element that supports this beautiful narrative is the background and variety of properties that are curated in detail. Starting from the dormitory where they live in antique style to one of the most important locations as a place of Doona's protection.

"If the dormitory is considered a 'kastil' of Doona, Won-jun is the first outside person to finally make Doona want to go out and meet her," explained Lee Jung Hyo.
