Listeners Of Loyalty Become The Reason Mansyur S Doesn't Want To Retire From Music

JAKARTA - Senior Singer Mansyur S is still playing music at the age of 76 years. He has had a career in the national music industry for more than five decades.

Having a long musical career is certainly the dream of most singers, as well as Mansyur. He also doesn't want to retire from the performance stage, as long as there are still those who want to see his performance.

"I actually barometer the community (to retire). I am the new year (on stage) in Kalimantan, on the 1st (January) there will be an event," said Mansyur S to the media crew in Tendean, South Jakarta recently.

"So this is a barometer for us, meaning we can't go down yet," he continued.

Support from listeners is the main reason the singer of 'Benalu Cinta' does not want to retire. He also thanked everyone who was still loyal to listening to his works.

"People are still enthusiastic, that's what we are grateful for. Thank you my fans, it was you who made me able to continue working," he said.

However, Mansyur did not deny that his increasing age had to make him face several obstacles.

"The older you get, the more things you used to feel, now it arises, sometimes it feels like yes, but it's just an istighfar," said Mansyur.

"My children always remember me. So I really do. Even now, the stage is not as good as it used to be, the important thing is that it can still be entertaining," he concluded.
