Jonas Rivanno And Asmirandah Mourn, Mother Died Of Cancer Since 2008

JAKARTA - The couple Jonas Rivanno and Asmirandah are grieving. Leony Pattipeilohy, the mother of Jonas, died at the age of 61 on Friday, July 7.

The late Leony Pattipeilohy was buried at the Pondok Ranggon TPU, East Jakarta on Saturday, July 8.

Asmirandah's husband said that his mother had been suffering from bladder cancer for the past 15 years, until she finally breathed her last yesterday.

"So Mama actually has been suffering from cancer since 2008 and is battling cancer until 2023," said Jonas Rivanno after her mother's funeral.

"Mama suffers from buli cancer. Buli-buli cancer is near the urinary tract, if you want more complete, it might be nice for a doctor to explain," he continued.

Cancer suffered, said Jonas, has spread to many organs of the mother's body. He also said that his mother often complained of pain due to her illness.

"Because I said earlier that from 2008, my mother had been suffering from cancer, so after struggling until 2023, cancer slowly started, so the pain was a little bit. Starting from the kidneys, even to the sewers too, the liver, until finally the doctor explained that it had reached the lungs (the spread). So, if the disease has spread," said Jonas.

The 36-year-old actor also explained that his mother's condition since the beginning of this year has deteriorated. The deceased had been hospitalized intensively since the beginning of the year.

"He has been treated in an intense hospital since early 2023. He had time to go back for a while, after that he returned to the hospital," he said.

Remembering the figure of Leony Pattipeilohy, Jonas said that his mother was everything for him. Meanwhile, Asmirandah called the deceased a mother-in-law who taught a lot of good things.

"He's not just a mother to me, he's a good friend of mine, he's my first love, he's my pillar of prayer, the pillar of family prayer. And for me he is everything," said Jonas Rivanno.

"He is an extraordinary mother-in-law for me, very good, and has taught a lot of good things too, not only to his son-in-law but also to his children," concluded Asmirandah.
