Megawati Regarding Ganjar's Vice Presidential Candidate: Wait From My Mouth

JAKARTA - The General Chairperson of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri has considered Ganjar Pranowo's assistant in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). However, he reminded all parties to be patient because the registration of presidential and vice-presidential candidates was only held this week.

This was conveyed in a political speech in an internal meeting attended by hundreds of PDIP cadres and broadcast online, Monday, October 16. This activity is in order to inaugurate 27 party office buildings, a number of new historical buildings such as hospitals, roads, and Bung Karno statues.

"This week we will enter the registration period for presidential and vice presidential candidates. I have carefully considered who will be the most appropriate person to accompany Pak Ganjar Pranowo," Megawati said in an official PDIP YouTube broadcast.

Megawati said that she had heard input from a number of parties about a suitable figure as a vice presidential candidate for Ganjar. However, the final announcement will be made because he has the prerogative to be a determinant.

"Wait from my mouth, who will come with Pak Ganjar's partner," said the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Furthermore, Megawati ensured that she would not make the wrong choice regarding Ganjar's companion figure. Moreover, this figure will later become the leader of Indonesia.

"Yes, when you make the wrong choice, no, really," he said with a laugh.

"It's not just for the sake of the PDI-P, you know. It's not just an electoral count, you know, but it's also not in my personal or family interest, you know. So I'm really looking for someone who is a leader to be able to lead this Indonesian republic well," continued Megawati.

Therefore Megawati asked everyone to wait and prepare for the 2024 General Election. "About the representative, just wait. Later, if I say open, open zoom, now just open, just wait when it will be," he said.

Megawati assessed that this preparation was more important to be greeted with enthusiasm and mentality in fighting.

"So the 2024 election is the most important commitment to put above it the interests of the people and put the country above all else," said the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

"So it's not just for you personally, but we have to remember what is called our children and grandchildren. Don't feel like it's the era of being colonized. We want to continue to be a sovereign independent country. Free and active," concluded Megawati.
