Dishub Admits Overwhelmed By Land Trucks That Violate Operational Hours

TANGERANG - Head of the Tangerang Regency Transportation Service (Kadishub) Achmad Taufik admitted that his party was overwhelmed to anticipate land trucks at certain hours. Because there is a shortage of personnel while in the field.

He said that in fact, if his party had routinely given an appeal to truck operators to comply with the rules contained in regional regulation (Perda) number 12 of 2022, which applies for the safety and smooth running of traffic on the highway.

"So indeed if the truck passes during the day we stop. However, we also realize what if one or two trucks escape," Achmad told reporters in Tangerang Regency, Monday, October 9.

Therefore, his party is currently trying to increase joint operations to control land trucks that pass outside operational hours in the area. The plan is for the joint team to consist of the TNI-Polri.

"For the target, later trucks, sand, and the like weighing 8.5 tons must operate at 22.00-05.00 WIB," he said.

"We are making a joint team from the TNI/Polri together with the Satpol PP. And today we are compiling it for the implementation of the control. Later we will guard it according to the existing operating hours rules. And if later when the control is found, traffic violations will be dealt with by the police," he added.
