JAKARTA - MRT Jakarta is designated as a vital transportation object in the railway sector. This was stated in the Decree of the Director General of Railways Number KP-DJKA 38 of 2023 dated 10 February 2023.
Thus, all lines, stations, depots and operational facilities in the Jakarta MRT will be secured based on provisions regarding railways and guidelines for safeguarding national vital objects.
"With the issuance of this decision, the Jakarta MRT, in this case, the routes, all stations, depot areas, and supporting facilities such as electrical substations, are national vital objects", said PT MRT Jakarta Operations and Maintenance Director, Muhammad Effendi, in a statement on Thursday, February 16.
