DJBC Thwarts 4.84 Tons Of Drug Smuggling Through Air And Sea Lines
TANGERANG - Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance succeeded in thwarting 4.84 tons of narcotics with a total of 700 cases from January to October 2023.
"Successfully thwarting the smuggling of narcotics, with evidence of 4.84 tons with a total of around 700 cases," said Head of the Tracking Dog Sub-Directorate (K-9) at the DJBC Directorate of Narcotics Interdictation Hengky Aritonang to reporters, Wednesday, October 25.
According to him, the achievement of prevention of narcotics smuggling efforts this year is the result of a synergy between law enforcement officers, ranging from Customs, BNN, Polri and also the TNI.
He also added that the results of this disclosure were the most evidence found in the type of methamphetamine. Because, the goods are quite much in demand. In addition, the most narcotics distributions are marijuana and ecstasy.

Then, in the smuggling of narcotics, many were found from several countries on the African and Asian continents.
"Because indeed from the smuggling there are also many countries such as Malaysia and other Asian countries," he explained.
He said, in general, these syndicates smuggle a lot of evidence by sea and air.
"If the air line is relatively small, because the capacity they can bring is smaller," he concluded.
