Day 5 Of TPA Rawa Cat Burns, Water Bombing Helicopter Still Operating

TANGERANG The fire that ignited and burned piles of garbage at the Rawa Cat Final Disposal Site (TPA), Neglasari, Tangerang City is still in the process of extinguishing the Tangerang City BPBD and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, said that until now his party was still extinguishing the fire at the location.

"Not yet, the blackout operation is still running (at the Rawa Cat TPA)," Abdul said in a short message, Tuesday, October 24.

Abdul said that until now his party was still deploying water bombing helicopters to speed up the fire extinguishing at the location.

"Still, until it goes out," he said.

In addition, he also admitted that he had difficulty extinguishing the fire at the location because the location was so close to Soekarno Hatta Airport. So you have to see the flow of flight traffic in that place.

"So far, because it's only been the first day that it's only related to optimizing operating times that must be adjusted to airport traffic (Soekarno Hatta)," he said.
