ODGJ Woman In Tamansari Goes Raging, Hurts Parents And Locks Himself In Her House

JAKARTA - A woman suddenly went on a rampage for no reason and injured her parents on Jalan Kebun Jeruk 5, RT 06/04, Mangga Besar Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta, Friday, September 15.

It is known that the woman with the initials SY (43) turned out to have the status of a Person with Mental Disorder (ODGJ) and was successfully evacuated by the Tamansari Police Binmas officers and three other officers. But previously, SY had injured his parents.

The Head of the Tamansari Metro Police, Kompol Adhi Wananda, said that his party responded after receiving reports of an ODGJ raging.

"This action was carried out by coordinating officers from the Department of Social Affairs (Depsos) and West Jakarta Kodya P3 S officers," said Kompol Adhi Wananda when confirmed, Friday, September 15.

It was later discovered that the ODGJ lived with his father on Jalan Kebun Jeruk 5, RT 06/04, Mangga Besar Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta.

"Information received, the person concerned SY (43) has gone berserk and even committed physical violence against his father until he bleeding. Therefore, we immediately acted quickly by coordinating the relevant agencies to immediately evacuate the person concerned," he said.

However, the ODGJ evacuation process is not easy. Because SY had locked himself in the room and put a lock on the fence of their house.

"Officers were forced to carry out forced demolition of the fence lock," he said.

Next, they tried to communicate persuasively with SY through the bedroom door.

"Alhamdulillah, this effort was successful, and SY was finally invited to communicate. Hopefully SY will get the treatment needed for his physical and mental recovery," he said.

Next, SY was taken to RSJ Dr. Suharto Heerdjan Grogol, West Jakarta, for further treatment.
