Governor Mahyeldi Forms Integrated Team For The Settlement Of PSN Air Bangis West Pasaman Konnflict
PADANG - The West Sumatra Provincial Government will soon form an integrated team to resolve the conflict with the Refinery National Strategic Project (PSN) or oil refinery in Jorong Pigogah, Nagari Air Bangis, West Pasaman Regency.
"The integrated team will involve all agencies so that no one is harmed in this matter," said West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah after a joint meeting with related parties at Simpang Empat reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 8.
According to him, the PSN issue in West Pasaman is currently receiving protests from a number of community groups because it is considered detrimental to them.
His party will not harm the community so that understanding and socialization are needed in the future.
"The residents who held demonstrations at the governor's office some time ago have now returned to their homes and the situation in the location is safe and conducive," he said.
His party together with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of West Sumatra and West Pasaman Province are committed to being united for justice and no one will be harmed.
"In the near future there will be a meeting with the community regarding efforts to resolve the problem," he said.
Meanwhile, the West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Suharyono emphasized that his party guaranteed the security of the Pigogah Air Bangis community after returning after holding a demonstration in Padang some time ago.
According to him, regarding law enforcement, his party cannot tolerate it, because it refers to the applicable regulations and regulations.
