After Taxi Driver, Lee Je Hoon Joins In The 1963 Prequel Chief Inspector
JAKARTA - Lee Je Hoon will greet the audience with his latest drama this year. He was confirmed to join the Korean drama Chief Inspector 1963.
This drama is a prequel from the Korean drama Chief Inspector which aired for 18 years starting from 1971 to 1989. Throughout its broadcast, this classic drama received a rating of up to 70 percent.
Given that the story is prequelized, this drama will take a different 1960s background from the original version set from 1970 to 1980.
Quoting JTBC, Lee Je Hoon will play a young version of inspector Park Young Han. His free personality made him fight against the cruel world that destroys human dignity.
In addition, Park Young Han will form a team with detectives according to his original story. MBC has not announced who will join this drama other than Lee Je Hoon.

1963 Chief Inspector will be directed by Kim Sung Hoon who directed several films such as Confidential Assignment and Rampant.
This is the second drama to star in Lee Je Hoon this year. He stole the show with Taxi Driver 2 which only ended a few weeks ago.
Through the sequel to Taxi Driver 2, he still acts as a taxi driver from Rainbow Taxi who helps the victims get justice.
He also made a cameo in the Big Bet 2 series, and is reportedly considering Taxi Driver 3.
Meanwhile, the 1963 Chief Inspector drama is planned for production in the second half of 2023.
