Children Of Fire Victims In Cakung Receive School Equipment Assistance
JAKARTA - The East Jakarta City Government (East Jakarta City Government) helps to meet the needs of fire victims on Jalan Swadaya PLN RT 13/02, Cakung. East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar in Jakarta, said his party had ordered the Social Service Sub-dept. to hand over aid such as clothing, food, and clothing.
"The needs of school children, ranging from books, school uniforms, bags, shoes, and others will be met," said Anwar, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, August 31.
Anwar, who had reviewed the evacuation site for fire victims in Cakung, said that the distribution of aid had been running smoothly and sufficiently.
He also said that assistance came from various parties, both individuals and from agencies.

"The impact of this fire is 120 people from 53 families (KK) who occupy 48 buildings. They have now lost their homes. We have to pay special attention to those who are being hit by a disaster," said Anwar.
Meanwhile, East Jakarta Social Sub-dept., Purwono, said that his party had submitted logistical assistance since the first day of the fire.
He added that this Wednesday school to shoe uniforms were also provided to children who were victims of the fire.
"Including today, aid is still being distributed. Hopefully, this can ease the burden suffered by fire victims," said Purwono.
The fire scorched 40 houses in densely populated residential areas of Jalan Swadaya RT 13/2, Cakung District, East Jakarta, on Monday, August 29 at around 03.24 WIB.
The fire accident occurred allegedly due to a short circuit from one of the residents' houses and spread to other houses.
A total of 16 fire engines with a total of 80 personnel from the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-Department were deployed to extinguish the fire.
The fire can be localized by personnel from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. (Jaktim) after struggling for an hour.
After cooling down, the fire was declared complete at 07.15 WIB.
There were no casualties in the incident, but material losses are estimated at IDR 600 million.
