Defense Minister Says Russia Studying Foreign Weapons 'Caught' In Ukraine
JAKARTA - Russian specialists are carefully studying foreign military equipment secured in Ukraine, developing ways to deal with it.
Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said this, referring to Ukraine's military arsenal provided by the US-led Western allies.
"Of course, both our science and industry are studying it. We are looking at it from two sides. First is the possibility of fighting against this weapon, and how and what can be against it. On the other hand, where is the main weakness," Minister Shoigu explained in an interview with the TV channel. Rossiya-24, quoted from TASS on August 22
Minister Shoigu said weapons such as the M-777 howitzer, the HIMARS dual rocket launcher, the NLAW, and Javelin portable anti-tank missile systems, the Stinger portable anti-aircraft missile system, small arms, and armored vehicles were seized in special operations.
In general, according to the head of the Ministry of Defence, the weapons "have long been known and understood, there are no surprises there".

On the occasion, Minister Shoigu also highlighted the 'garbage' supplied to Ukraine from the Western Warehouse. In particular, the T-72 tank from Poland was produced in a licensed version of the Soviet Union tank.
