Sandro Tonali Injured During AC Milan Vs Vicenza, Rossoneri Management Is Now Busy Looking For A Replacement
JAKARTA - AC Milan is reported to have immediately moved quickly to sign a new midfielder following the injury of their mainstay player Sandro Tonali in the last match of pre-season on Sunday, August 7.
The 22-year-old was injured early in the second half of the Rossoneri's 6-1 win over Vicenza at the Stadio Romeo Menti. So far it has not been confirmed how long the midfielder will be out of action.
Tonali was seen limping away from the match. Some reports suggest the Italy international may have suffered with an injury to the groin or adductor muscle.
This injury makes him predicted to miss the first Serie A match on Saturday this weekend when Milan host Udinese at the San Siro Stadium.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan has started to accelerate towards their target. Several names has started to be associated with the Serie A champions last season.
The report states that the two players currently being targeted are Raphael Onyedika from Midtjylland and Jean Onana from Bordeaux. Apart from that, Tottenham Hotspur's Pape Sarr has also been linked, but he is not at the top of the shopping list.

These three names have very similar profiles and they are also still young. However, if the three names cannot be landed, Ismael Bennacer and Rade Krunic will fill Udinese's midfield.
Tonali's injury clearly dealt a blow to Milan. The reason is, Olivier Giroud, Divock Origi, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, were also not involved in the Vicenza match due to muscle problems.
Tonali was one of the key figures in last season's Scudetto title campaign. He has even been predicted to be the captain of the team in the future.
Despite preparing to buy a midfielder, Milan is reportedly still optimistic about Tonali's injury condition although initially there were concerns he could be out for up to a month. Tonali is rumored to be undergoing medical tests today.
