Champions League Quarter Final Leg 1 Results: Liverpool One Step Again Qualifying, Manchester City Wins Thin

JAKARTA - Two English Premier League clubs, Liverpool and Manchester City, won in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, Wednesday 6 April morning WIB. Liverpool have even set one foot into the next round.

Liverpool won a big victory when they traveled to the Estadio da Luz. Jurgen Klopp's troops won 3-1.

Ibrahima Konate scored Liverpool's first goal in the 17th minute. After that, it was Sadio Mane's turn to score against Benfica in the 34th minute.

At the start of the second half, precisely in the 49th minute, Benfica reduced the gap to 1-2 thanks to Darwin Nunez's goal. Towards the end of the match, Luiz Diaz added to Liverpool's advantage.

With this result, Liverpool only need a draw in the second leg to qualify for the semifinals. Losing by a single goal difference, the Reds still qualify.

In other matches, Manchester City only won 1-0 over Atletico Madrid at the Etihad Stadium. The Spanish club's defensive game made Pep Guardiola's fleet difficult.
