JAKARTA - Tammy Abraham's slick performance with AS Roma this season has attracted a number of clubs. This made AS Roma immediately move so that their flagship players were not hijacked by other clubs.

AS Roma's step so that Tammy Abraham is not courted is to fence off the player with a high price tag. Reportedly, AS Roma is only willing to release the English player for a price of 100 million pounds (around IDR 1.89 trillion), as reported by Antara from the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old has indeed managed to rise after being bought from Chelsea last summer. Tammy Abraham has scored 23 goals in 37 appearances for Jose Mourinho's side.

Abraham joined the Italian capital club for a value of 34 million pounds (about Rp643 billion) in 2021. Now, the price is believed to be well above his purchase price.

Abraham's form in Italy has sparked interest from top English Premier League clubs interested in bringing him home next season.

Chelsea itself entered a buyback option when selling Abraham to AS Roma. The English club could sign him back for around £67 million starting next year.

However, Chelsea does not seem to be able to take that option considering the sanctions imposed on their owner, Roman Abramovich.

This makes the opportunity for Manchester United and Manchester City to be quite open. Both teams are reportedly looking for a center-forward in the upcoming transfer window.

Man City is reportedly prioritizing buying Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. However, Abraham is an alternative if the mission to take Haaland fails.

Abraham's contract is actually still fairly long at AS Roma. He is under contract with the Italian capital team until 2026.
