World's Largest Cinema Network AMC Theaters Will Accept Dogecoin (DOGE) Crypto Payments

JAKARTA – The world's largest cinema chain company, AMC Theaters is trying to accept payments with Dogecoin (DOGE) crypto. CEO Adam Aron has opened a poll on his Twitter account regarding DOGE acceptance after AMC reportedly accepted payments with Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and Ethereum (ETH).

“It is clear that you think AMC should accept Dogecoin. Now we need to figure out how to do that”, said Aron.

Aron created a poll on Twitter to ask the crypto community whether or not companies should accept meme coins into AMC's list of accepted cryptocurrencies.

For information, AMC Entertainment Holdings is one of the largest cinema companies in the world. Its network is spread across the US, Europe, and various parts of the world. According to the latest report, AMC is rumored to have around 950 theaters and 10,500 screens spread across the world.

On Tuesday, September 21, he stated that he had listened to the results of the poll regarding DOGE acceptance.

“I sincerely want to hear your opinion, via this Twitter Poll. By the end of 2021, AMC will use Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin cash for online payments. I heard from many people on my Twitter feed that we should accept dogecoin too. Do you think AMC should explore the acceptance of dogecoin?”, asked Aaron.

From the results of the poll, 68.1 percent of the total 140,388 voters said "Yes, of course, do it" which means they agree if DOGE is used as an online payment tool at AMC. A total of 8.6 percent support DOGE being added as an online means of payment even though they “will not use it.” The remaining 23 percent rejected DOGE being accepted by AMC saying “no.”

The AMC boss's tweet was liked by 17.5 thousand times, retweeted 7.7 thousand times at the time of writing this story. One of the biggest DOGE supporters, Elon Musk, nicknamed the 'Dogefather', liked Adam Aron's tweet. Musk and Mark Cuban agree that DOGE is “the strongest cryptocurrency for payments”.

After learning that the Tesla and SpaceX boss liked his tweet, Aron expressed his delight and congratulated Tesla and SpaceX on the success of Tesla and SpaceX. He also praised Musk as a symbol of today's innovation.

The day after polling on Twitter, Adam Aron tweeted again and revealed that he was working on accepting Dogecoin. "Very interesting! The Dogecoin Poll is by far the highest tweet I've ever read. Within 24 hours, 4.2 million views, my most tweets, most replies. 140,000 votes 77% yes, 23% no”.
