8 Indonesian Startups Pass Google's Acceleration Program, Successfully Face Challenges Due To The Pandemic

JAKARTA - Eight new startups have completed the Google for Startups Accelerator: Indonesia program, which is the technology giant's first program for technology activists in the country.

The program, which was held from April 26 to June 10, includes in-depth material and workshops that focus on product design, user acquisition, leadership development for startup founders, as well as 169 hours of mentoring with 47 mentors from Google.

Some of these mentors are also alumni of the Accelerator program. The program also facilitates connections to 117 venture capitalists.

"We are very impressed with the creative ideas, energy, and passion of these eight founders, especially since they have successfully overcome various challenges that have emerged due to the pandemic", said Head of Startup Ecosystem SEA and SAF at Google, Thye Yeow Bok at the conference online press, Tuesday, July 6.

Yeow Bok added, the purpose of this program is to sharpen the skills of founders and help them develop their startups to a higher level.

"I am also very happy to see them continue to develop various solutions for Indonesia, which are now increasingly equipped with new knowledge", said Yeow Bok.

Google for Startups Accelerator in Indonesia is the latest evolution of Google's commitment over the years to build a strong network with founders and startups in Indonesia.

"Eight graduates of this program will now join the global network of Google for Startups," explained Yeow Bok.

Here are eight startups that have successfully passed the Google for Startups Accelerator Indonesia program.

1. Aido Health: A health technology company that provides an integrated digital platform for healthcare providers.

2. Aruna: Indonesia's largest integrated fisheries e-commerce platform that creates fair trade for small-scale fishermen.

3. Crowde: An integrated agro-ecosystem that helps MSMEs in the agribusiness sector to develop their business by connecting business actors through extensive data and networks.

4. Duitin: A digital tool that facilitates recycling, where contributors can request waste collection and get rewarded for recycling.

5. Pahamify: An online learning platform for primary and secondary school students in Indonesia that helps students improve their academic performance.

6. Pintek: A financial technology platform that connects lenders with consumers and educational institutions, through unique loan products designed to provide attractive returns with adjusted risk.

7. PrivyID: Provides digital ID and signature for a smooth onboarding process.

8. TeleCTG: IoT in the medical field and a platform for maternal health, especially for pregnant women.
