JAKARTA Apple will add many new features to its smart watch through the launch of the latest operating system (OS). One of the features to be added to watchOS 11 is a ringtone change.

This feature is not mentioned by Apple so many users don't know that their device will get this new capability. With the ring-tone change feature, users can now get rid of Apple's built-in ringtone.

In fact, Apple Watch has already received a new ringtone after the Apple Watch Series 3 was launched. However, the company has never released an option to change the ringtone so users have only listened to one ringtone over the years.

Fortunately, this option will be available on watchOS 11. Based on 9to5mac's findings in the developer's preview, there are eight ringtones that users can choose from, namely Pebbles, Focus, Jingle, Nighthawk, Transmit, Twirl, Windup, and Wonder.

Not only changing the ringtone for call notifications, users can also change text message notifications, emails, calendar warnings, reminders, and regular notifications. There are nine ringtones available, namely Resonate, Cheer, Globe, Scoop, and others.

Not all Apple Watch will get watchOS 11. Some of Apple's smart watch models that will get this update are Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch Series 7, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Apple Watch SE 2.

The Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5 will not get any more system updates, just like the first generation Apple Watch SE. If you are the user of these three devices, you can only stick with the old system or replace the smart watch with a new one.
